Mr. Gilliland has been awarded US patents for fiber optic transmitters and receivers, electro-optical components and packaging, LADAR systems and components, and power conversion apparatus. These patents have been licensed to a dozen US and international companies for many tens of millions US in fees to the sponsors and assignees.
